Now, Herself tends to disagree with my analysis. I am Didymist, she is more inclined to swing between optimism and pessimism, plunging into either stream while I stick a toe in the water and find a stick to check the pool's depth.

But I will give the preach first think later crowd this:

we DO have hope that we are not people who wasted their time saying the prayer when we were not elect. The well-behaved Muslim [used often as counter example these days] has to deal with a God who by available theology MIGHT accept him IF he can show enough sanctity.

We are given know the character of Christ and can understand that he is not neutral or against us, but working with us to get us in if that is what we actually want.
