Choice

A baby boy was born that day.
His mother laid Him in the manger hay.
Angels sang in the heavens above,
Rejoicing in the Father's love.
Shepherds with their sheep in the fields at night
Were startled by angels and the glorious sight
Of their singing "Glory in the highest and peace on earth".
The shepherds went to see this one of royal birth.
Wise men in the east saw His star,
And traveled to see Him from afar.
"Death to the baby." Harod cried,
And many Hebrew babies died.
This baby grew to be a man
And so fulfilled redemption's plan
That He, too, with death should meet
To bring about death's defeat.
The grave could not hold the King of Kings.
With his resurrection salvation He brings.
Each one of us must make a choice
And call Him Lord with our voice
Or silently reject His sovereign reign
And in our silence show our disdain
For His death and loving sacrifice.
Knowing it was for us He gave His live.
The choice is yours on this day.
Accept Him fully or turn away.

Are we having another soapbox preacher here at the forum? Good stuff! I am about to post another poem here after I hit submit here. Maybe, Greg.
