Poem 2

Postby jjsledge » Tue Feb 05, 2008 7:35 pm

SILENT SHOUT

From across the room she'll look at me and smile.
Her eyes will silently shout "I love you".
Words unspoken yet plainly heard.
Communication completed with out uttering a word.
Strange to some yet clear to those
Whose love is sure and a commitment chose.
A touch, a smile, a gentle embrace
"I love yous" shouted all over the place.
Silent shouts all, heard with the heart
With the promise you made never to part,
Volumes spoken with out audible sound.
Listen with your heart. "I love yous" abound.

You better tell her to tone it down, else you may go deaf! My silent shout is my writing.
Maybe, Greg.
Live life in love, for to love is to live!

Both poems are beautiful. Everyone express's their love for each other differently. My wife and I know that we love each other but we still tell each other I Love You several times every day as we have for the last 38 years. We can see our love in each others eyes but we still like to hear each other say it. :D

Hi, Jerry –
you are blessed in the relationship you have with your wife, and you have expressed it beautifully.

You ever tried an acrostic of your wife's name? I did with mine :-

E connotes Exquisite, th'outstanding beauty I have found,
L is for the Love expressed, when together we were bound,
I means Independance, a trait that thou do'st own,
Z is for the Zeal, in which the love is shown,
A conveys Affection, an emotion thou do'st share,
B expresses Beauty, a delight I must declare,
E connotes th'Enjoyment I've found, now we are entwined,
T signifies Turtledove, the gentle, loving kind,
H represents Happiness that has come into my life,
All this spells ELIZABETH, my dearest and my wife.

That's a good one beaker.

Yes, Strandloper I am blessed and thank you for your positive comment.

Firefighter, yes we tell each other I love you also, but this is not the first marriage for either one of us and we were told by previous spouses that they loved us. It's sometimes like the old saying " 'Seeing' is believing."

I have more of the same if anyone is interested.
