My fellow worker

Postby Petros » Fri Oct 23, 2020 6:50 am

Just heard from a colleague - also longtime translation worker. Asking for prayer - his son is in hospital, diagnosed like so many today with COVID 19 plus. Not mine either to believe or challenge thios or any diagnosis - I have known correct diagnoses, far from correct diagnoses, as well as hearing "We have no idea what you have, let us take more tests", as well as (counted as good news) "What you have is Wentworth's Condition, and it is incurable, you have five years to live in unbearable agony;"this last is generall thought to be good news.

That said - mt friend wants, his son needs p[rayer.

Praying. I can focus on a prayer better if I have a first name. Would that be too much invasion of privacy?

I’m truly sorry to hear of your colleague’s son’s illness and hope he will make a full and speedy recovery.

Friend is Joe; son's name I simply do not know.

Well, we got a report from my friend about his son Matt. Seems he has conditions that make the virus more dangerous, so he went in. It went well - a few days witha fever, then it calmed down, and he is now home. But then his wife developed the fever - over quickly, but then the isolation. So they still need prayer - so that their children do not go mad from being cooped up for a double portion and drive THEM mad!
