Howdy from North Texas

Postby ervantx85 » Thu Mar 22, 2018 6:10 pm

Howdy, everyone. Thanks for peeking at my intro. I apologize for the delay. In the interest of avoiding the "N" words, I'd like you to know that I am an open and thoughtful person. When you get to know me, you will find that I am a student and I also work full time in the healthcare field. My free time is spent learning new recipes, hiking with my dog, hiking alone, learning new things online, reading and probably my favorite, traveling. Recently I spent a few weeks in Iceland and that sparked the photo bug. I am interested in learning about astrophotography and would love to chat about it. I consider myself to be pretty laid back and would love to find some local buds. Thanks for reading.

Likewise! Thanks, buddy. I have been to Georgia-it was beautiful in the fall. I went to Locust Grove and Atlanta. How far are you from those?

Welcome ervantx from Las Vegas, Nevada where the weathers’s nice enough today I got the opportunity to soak up some sunshine as I work on my allover tanfor the year.

I hope you’ll enjoy your time here.

Hi Jim. Thanks for the welcome. I am quite the fan of Vegas; I will probably be in your neck of the woods soon.

What fun things do you do with your free time?

Yet another Texican! Howdy and welcome, ervantx85!

We share some commonalities with our freetime: hiking alone (I have a dog but she's not the hiking kind!), learning new things (online or offline), reading, and traveling. Would love to hear about your trip to Iceland, as that's a country I want to visit too. I'm still living at home and have just started a new job, so my ability to travel is a bit limited at the moment. At least I have plenty of time to plan the next trip. :)

I would to talk about any and all of those things. I’m already making tentative plans for my next trip. :)

Where do you hike?

Hey, welcome back ervantx. Hope to hear more from you. You've got a lot of things in common with the guys here, it seems. Surround yourself with good Christian men. Being in TX, maybe you can connect with one or more of them in person. Stand firm.

We live about half way between Atlanta and Chatanooga. That puts me around 2 hours from Locust Grove if there is no traffic. With traffic it could be 3-4 hours :argh:

Astrophotography eh? Could you possibly shoot a good one of saturn? If there's a planet worth photographing, it's that one.

That being said, Hi.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving probably isn't your sport.

Thanks buddy! I'm glad I did, too. I'm hoping to find some good folks to message with and learn from. I'm all about self-improvement. Never been to Jersey. Born and raised?
