Very nice. Too bad it's in French.

Excellent! I wish that American television could (and would) portray wholesome nudity in such a positive light.

Me too. Unfortunately, the ratings would plumet, the sponsors would dry up, some group would sue, and that would be the end of it.

LivingFree: Would the ratings plummet? One has to remember what drives most American corporations...Profit for the share holders. If there was a profit to be made by wholesome nudity, some corporate boards would stand up and take heed. I am constantly amazed at what actually can work. Sometimes it is a matter of what perspective you approach the subject. Just a thought.

If you think about it, who are the major sponsors of TV today... companies like Proctor and Gamble. How would they profit from naturism? People would probably wash far fewer clothing. Would the added sales of sunscreen fill the void?

The sponsors that COULD make up the difference are the resort owners such as Hyatt, Sandals, Hilton etc.

Any marketing people out there???

Yeah, naturism is inherently anti-consumerist and anti-corporate growth. It's not surprising the big corps have mixed feelings about it...

Well, frankly, from a personal pov I sure don't mind being wrong on this one, but my pessimistic outlook is that a few well mounted campaigns from powerful right wingers would cause the big corporations to flee, not wanting to take a chance at losing their current customers. With a powerful conservative right wing in America of approximately 40% (even 20% would be formidable) I don't think they'd take a chance at losing marketshare. Just remember Janet Jackson of recent Superbowl fame.

Explain that to companies like Walmart, HP, Ford Motors, Ikea etc. See how long it takes them to respond, if they ever do.

I'm one of those right-wingers that have pushed hard against certain left wing idiologies. This, however, is not "left-wing". If anything, I see it as "ultra-conservative".

Unfortunately, it appears to have been removed.

It was an excellent video showing families enjoying naturist play at the beach and at several naturist venues, including a naturts shopping plaza. I wish I could find out who produced it and get a copy, preferably translated into English (it was all in french).

There are other You Tube videos about naturist vacations - just search on "naturist". One particularly good one was by Kate Bohner (sp?), which highlighted Florida's two largest nudist resorts as well as Bare Necessities Tour and Travel. She did a fantastic job presenting these without mocking or making snide comments.

WARNING! There are some other videos that show up from that search which are more sexual in content than naturism.

Even using "naturist", "nudist", "naturism", "nudism", you will get a lot of porn sites. You used to be able to safely use those words without getting porn sites, but not any longer.

Interesting! Has YouTube developed a no-nude policy like MySpace?
