I happened to see this in my Facebook Marketplace ads...

Roofing.jpg

...'not sure how the photo relates to a room for rent. Maybe it assured the potential tenant that the roof is new and sound.

Or that lots of heat escapes?

Your version is probably closer to reality! :)

I’m not sure I understand it either but prospective tenants should know it’ll be okay to be naked and free on the property.

So how did this get past the Facebook censors? A bare male butt, oh the humanity, save the children, protect your eyes, look away, etc. I wonder if this posting will still be there tomorrow? Facebook is revising its standards, but I have not yet heard the results or any new policy.

I don't know what passes Facebook "community standards" censorship now. This image does not show genitals, buttcrack, or female nipples, but neither did the young image I have of me on my page of fiction samples on Facebook, and the page wasn't published, with it being called pornography. I don't submit any pornography. I appealed it, and it was eventually a published page, and I still use it, with the very same image. But they are not clear about what won't be a problem, I shouldn't have had any.

I see that there is access to the roof via a ladder. That's all I see. :butbut:

I think you'll find it's a toss-up between algorithmic judgment and human judgment... and I'm not sure which I'd rather my images be judged by.

Naturist handyman. There are certain woman it would appeal to. An article I read about a naked handyman in CA was charging high prices and getting it, mostly from single women. They might garner some extra renters hoping to catch a glimpse now and then. In our clothed society a few people get so starved for nude sights they pay to see it.

I came across this on my FB page...

https://petapixel.com/2019/06/06/facebo ... exUG5vzEmw

The discussion about why a nude statue is acceptable but a photographed nude is not is an interesting one. Sadly, I do wonder if this may open a floodgate to the inappropriate; which I would deplore. Or, more happily, it could start folk realising we are all but variations on a theme; which would cheer me no end. I suspect the debate will rumble on & then be surpassed by other issues; probably the posting of 'This is my dinner' images.

Facebook is too ridiculous in what posts it censors for violating "community standards". It is losing me to preferable social media, which it is not reasonably certain of being anymore, as it will eventually lose others when they finally realize there are better choices. I try telling contacts that I am already using MeWe, I can be joined with continued contact there.
