As promised I continue with how I finally realized that Christianity and nudism can be and is compatible. As stated last time I was here, thanks to an African American friend of ours (like I said, I lived in the States with my mother at the time), who practiced nudity who showed me a copy of "N" magazine published by the NATURIST SOCIETY. While browsing thru the pages, I came across info about a group called ALTOGETHER CHRISTIANS (later on called NLI) led by a blind Roman Catholic Christian named Jim C. Cunningham. After I saw this, my interest peaked as to whether I can truly serve God and be naked. At the time I was battling with severe porn addiction. I saw the address and wrote to him and he responded in kind. When I read the copy of NLI #10, SOMETHING INSIDE ME AWAKENED!! There was real bible truths being shared in that magazine!! Discussion about salvation in Christ and being led by HOLY SPIRIT!! And what was so amazing was that everyone in the magazine were NAKED!! This enthralled me!! It seemed possible that you CAN serve God, love Jesus, & be guided by Holy Spirit while being NAKED!! But with the traditional influence I was still under and my addiction to PORN, I still wasn't convinced. It wasn't until 14 years later (at the time 8 years after returning home from the United States back to Trinidad and Tobago), that I finally discovered that I can serve God and be naked. It happened like this!! Back in 2004 I was living on my own in West Trinidad. I still struggled with Porn addiction (I had quite a lot of adult porn movies at the time), however believing in God and trusting in his delivering power helped me get it under control. Then on a Sunday evening I went to a Sunday evening service at a powerful charismatic church called TRINIDAD CHRISTIAN CENTER. During that service, the assistant pastor preached a sermon about ABRAHAM'S sacrifice. He showed that when it comes to serving God,it requires ultimately giving up everything you hope for and TOTALLY surrendering to him. Even your biggest dreams must be given up to be in the place where God wants you to be. That night, that sermon had a powerful effect on me, because my dream was to ultimately serve God in the nude and find others in my country who I could be naked with. I went home that evening and broke down and cried because I LOVED GOD (still do) with a passion and did not want to lose him. That night I vowed to God that I would GIVE UP nudity then and there and no longer take off my clothes if that's what it meant to hold onto him. I was determined to remain in God's prescience. The only reprieve was that I can PRAY & WORSHIP him in the NUDE. As I write this I am telling you all reading this, I was going to do it. Forget nudity altogether and live my life totally for him. Until this MIRACLE happened. It was MONDAY morning the day after and I was off from work. I got up late and since I could worship God in the nude, I stripped down to nothing and began to pray. As I was doing this, I heard a SMALL STILL voice speak to me and say," WORSHIP ME IN THE NUDE". I got up immediately and began to rebuke Satan for trying to trick me. It couldn't be GOD. Why would he lead me one way the night before, then suddenly turn a different tune the next day?? For the sake of space, more next time! STAY TUNED!!

We often have the wrong ideas about "giving our dreams up to God." We fear we will lose them; yet, if we are practicing radical obedience, we give them anyway. (This was where the "rich young ruler" apparently balked.) But then God often gives them back to us, sanctified and transformed. And if He does not, we sometimes realize that they would have done us harm, not good. So what we lose when we give everything to God is exactly nothing. And what we gain is Himself; that is, everything. "He who would save his life shall lose it..."

When the BIG DEAL hit, shifting agnostic to theist, I was compelled to disperse my library - it was a serious addiction. That included everything I had on a set of languages I love. Some years later, I found myself working on those languages - and all my precious resources were gone. Woe!

Within a year, I had copies of all I needed and more - without having to deal with bookstore addiction.

You know, that's true. Whatever we give up for God would be NOTHING at all as we have EVERYTHING to gain by following God in LOYAL (not blind) obedience. As Paul the Apostle said in Phillipians 3:8, " I count it all but Manure that I may win CHRIST". So even if I had given up nudity totally for God, no doubt he would have led me into something much more desirable. Like you said
brother John, he would've have led me to HIMSELF! Now what could be more desirable than that. So just maybe I wouldn't have felt loss of anything if he hadn't given me his approval to go into nudity as my lifestyle if I did not trust him in the first place.

We who are Christians AND naturist have a knowledge of our body as God's creation, complete in its nudity and called "good" by the Creator himself.
That knowledge is very powerful indeed, and transcends our ability to literally be without clothes at any given moment.
It is a freedom and happiness that need not be stolen from our hearts, even if we find opposition from the law, from society and even our own family.
With this knowledge comes a responsibility to find others who need to know.
I have on rare occasions encountered nudist parents who chose to keep this goodness secret from their children.
One of them told me that she hoped her sons and daughters would eventually discover this on their own as adults.
While that may be how it works out, it will have been no thanks to her.
I am not thinking so much of whether we go to a nudist campground every weekend as our ability to walk in the knowledge and freedom in our homes and hopefully back yards.
Dad had to sort things out with his mother-in-law when she came to live with us, but he found a way to be naked in the evening.
He wasn't the most articulate man on Earth, more one to show his beliefs by example.
I have the gift of gab, more inclined to explain naturism to my family than he was,
so I don't do things Dad's way, but I hope to emulate his good example to back up my words.

Yes! As Christians and nudists,we do have a responsibility to tell others about the benefits of this wonderful lifestyle, & how loving and serving God in the nude is and can be an added benefit to our faith and journey in life. The thing is though, most people are not convinced by simply being told about it. That's why by having discussion groups in our homes or talking about it with friends who might be visiting are great opportunities to show people how wonderful and enriching this lifestyle truly is. By just being honest and patiently showing people , using God's wisdom of course can help many people understand what this lifestyle is really all about. Even inviting some people to visit a nudist camp with us can be a great way for them to see how thus is such a great way to live!!

Hello everyone!! In continuing how nudity is compatible with Christianity, I continue from where I left off sometime ago. As before stated, on Sunday evening at a charismatic faith church in western Trinidad, I heard powerful sermon that convinced me that I had to give up nudity to get the experience of GOD for who he really is. After this I made a vow to God that I would give up nudity if that is what it took to remain in his presence. The morning afterwards, while praying NUDE to God, a SMALL STILL VOICE spoke to me and said ,"WORSHIP ME IN THE NUDE". Like I stated the last time, I jumped up and began to rebuke Satan for trying to trick me. Why would God who showed me what he wanted me to do the night before turn around the next morning and permit me to do the very thing he wanted me to give up. I was convinced I was truly being deceived. Then I went back to prayer and heard the voice again more clearly this time,"WORSHIP MR NAKED"!! This time upon careful scrutiny and discernment, I realised. IT WAS THE SAME SMALL STILL VOICE that I myself have heard during certain periods of my life. It was the SAME voice that Prophet ELIJAH heard in 1 KINGS 19:12. IT WAS GOD'S VOICE that I heard!! And it seemed he had given me HIS authorisation to practice Nudity. But WHY?? HOW?? Why would God permit me to practice something he wanted me to give up. Then it occurred to me,( I believe it was laid in my spirit) Abraham went through a similar testing in that GOD told him to SACRIFICE his ONLY son to prove his obedience to GOD. It seemed to me that God had now put ME thru the same test. And I had PASSED in my willingness to give it up ALL for HIM!! I rejoiced in joy and cried tears of Joy, knowing that my Heavenly Father had given me the A-OK to practice NUDITY before him. That was quite an ecpere and one I could NEVER forget. It all boils down to whether WE as GOD'S people are willing to DO what GOD wants us to do to experience HIM in out lives in such a POWERFUL and DYNAMIC way! After that I believe TOTAL OBEDIENCE to God's Word and leading in our lives can lead to Nothing but PEACE, FULFILLMENT, & PURPOSE. My journey SD s Christian nudist had been one of utter JOY & PEACE in CHRIST!! More to be shared soon!!

What a powerful testimony, Christianhopeful!

Many times, God will speak to us, wanting to see if we are willing to do what He is asking for. I have seen that it is not to take things away from us - He only wants to see our WILLINGNESS. When He sees we are willing to give ecerything up for Him, that is when He gives it back to us! This has happened to me many practical times. Sometimes it is our willingness to share things we have with others.

Thank you for posting this! And continue to enjoy worshipping our Creator in the nude!

Abraham went through a similar testing in that GOD told him to SACRIFICE his ONLY son to prove his obedience to GOD

I often wonder what the conversation was like when Abraham and Isaac were walking back down from the mountain. When the pastor uses that story in a sermon I ask them to do another sermon and speculate what was said; none have done so yet. Anyone here care to speculate? I can only assume the question of "Would you really have killed me?" would be answered with a simple "Yes."

But then God would have raised Isaac from the dead to keep his promise to Abraham.

A speculation: Since there isn't a lot of lengthy dialogue between fathers and sons from the period of the Patriarchs to serve as an example, and since the culture then and there was so different than the Western culture most of our members belong to, it's possible that there was very little -- if any -- questioning, and that the boundaries of respect for the elder would have had Isaac quietly descending the mountain behind his father.
Abraham went through a similar testing in that GOD told him to SACRIFICE his ONLY son to prove his obedience to GOD

I don't think Abraham needed to prove his obedience to God (who already knew). It WAS a testing, yes, of the faith of Abraham which God reckons as righteousness; a faith that even Abraham stumbled over more than once.
Life will leave me with what i deserve.

Perhaps our current Nobel Laureate in Literature, Bob Dylan, has the best take on that passage, with a little poetic license:
Oh God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"
Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"
God say, "No." Abe say, "What ?"
God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin' you better run"
Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done ?"
God says. "Out on Highway 61".
You can live your life in fear--or you can live your life.

Thank you for all your replies to my posts!! You all do give bits & pieces of info to really think about. I think ISSAC might have questioned his father if he would have killed him. I mean, almost being killed as a sacrifice would've been very traumatic for such a young person. But I believe he understood the importance of sacrifice & obedience to God, so he didn't question as someone who did not understand. Continuing from where I left off the last time I was here ,( long time no text folks) after getting the revelation from GOD that I CAN serve him nude, I decided to try the discernment of HAGGAI ,( at least I believe its in that book) where he is challenged by GOD to "TEST THE SPIRITS". So, that very evening, I went to the MONDAY NIGHT PRAYER service to PROVE to myself that it was GOD I heard who allowed me to be NAKED before him, or if I was truly being deceived. Now as I know it, when you are committing sin,& are in violation of God's standards, Holy Spirit conviction will let you know you are engaged in wrongdoing. He has a powerful track record of discipline on his people who stray from the truth. So, I went to the Monday evening service with the anticipation that I will not be able to be focused on God. As I entered the sanctuary of TRINIDAD CHRISTIAN CENTER, I had no idea what to expect The service was lead by one of the senior female pastors. As she gave the instruction to worship & enter God's presence, I too went deep into prayer. As I was praying, HOLY SPIRIT ministered to me so powerfully, that all I experienced was his DEEP , OVERWHELMING LOVE & PEACE!! As church members got deeper into prayer, I experienced POWER, ENCOURAGEMENT, and so much PEACE that I only prayed more intense,& sought God's presence even more!! THAT MONDAY PRAYER service was POWERFUL as it always east & I was greatly ministered to by HOLY SPIRIT!!!! After the service, the female pastor thanked everyone for their agreement and cooperation in worship & allowing God's presence to take control of the service. After I left the church, I realized something! I FELT NO SHAME, I NEVER felt GUILTY, CONFUSED, or CONFLICTED within my Spirit!! I WAS QUITE NORMAL and was MINISTERED to by HOLY SPIRIT!! It wasthere i discovered that I can TRULY serve GOD & be NAKED!! From that day to this, my life has been a Joyous NUDE journey, serving God in the nude,& honoring him as he created me!! There are many more things that have happened & are happening on this journey that I will share with you all pretty soon!! You all don't know how much being on this site is ministering to me tremendously!! God bless you all, talk to you again soon!!
