A new problem?

Postby Webmaster » Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:48 pm

I've only had one person report this to me, but I wanted to see if anybody else was having a problem with this.

The member logged into the site, went to a forum and wrote a new topic. When he clicked on the Submit button he got a message telling him to log in and was taken to the log in screen. When he logged in again he got a message that told him he was already logged in.

If anyone else is having a problem like this please let me know.

It's likely he has cookies blocked either entirely or just for this domain.

I've had a similar problem on another site that seems to be running the same program (same colors and format).

Not here, but I've had a similar problem in another Web site where I keep getting logged out. It's the only place that happens, which tells me it's something wrong with that Web site and not my computer.

I just tried to duplicate the problem but found everything worked OK. I went to this forum and created a new topic "test", was asked to login, created the topic, submitted the topic and was returned to the topic without the second request to login.

I think the problem the member was having was just a lag issue. I got another pm from the member saying that everything was working okay now.
