Are there any other issues that bother you about nudism / naturism not covered above? How can it be Christian? Other? Any question is acceptable, just keep the conversation courteous and respectful.<P>Only Residents and higher may post here.

In actuality, I believe that a Christian Naturist Association, Organization or Profession-al Organization's mission should reach far beyond other non-Christian naturists.

As Christian Naturists, I believe that we have a freedom to be "naked and unashamed", primarily based on the restorative nature of the spent blood of our Savior on the cross through the power of faith in Him. In this, although we still currently reside in fallen bodies and in a fallen world, we are spiritually and relationally restored to Christ. This freedom gives us a different perspective on the nude human body than that which is found in the world. We now can view ourselves as God created us to be, "made in His image", and as such, we are also granted the additional freedom from the lure of pornography. At least this is what I have found.

I strongly believe that such freedom has the power to change lives and save marriages and families. As such, we should be reaching out, not only to naturists, but to others that are struggling with a worldly view of the human body, including those that are already Christians.

There are many non-believers that prefer to remain uncommitted to Christ because they view Christianity as nothing more than a list of dos and don'ts, rather than the one true path to life and life more abundant. This is one way of chipping at the wall of unbelief.

Hi, Eric –
while I also think you misread Don’s post, you did make some good points.
I believe that we are called to witness in all spheres of life, which for most of us means many other environments beside naturism.

You wrote: “God gave us a Great Mission. ‘Go.’ That is an active verb.”

I cannot agree more. I found the following insight into the Beatitudes highly enlightening: http://www.geocities.com/saintsnseasons/Elias3E.html
I feel you will agree with that as well.

Eric,
Yes, you did kinda misunderstood me. I didn't mean anything specifically against CMA or FCA. They are good groups. As well as the people you mention. I think my point was just that if one is displaying some kind of indication that Christ is important to him/her, one can effectively witness to others by the way he/she lives. When asked, as scripture reminds us, we are to be prepared to answer. Some people get a little nervous that once they become a Christian that they need to preach from a street corner with words, but I'm saying that you can preach louder by your actions/life.

the ball cap

Postby nuzoegirl » Tue Aug 28, 2007 10:16 am

I like the ball cap! Where can I order one?! BUT I like the silver coloring better. Silver will match all genders better then the mixed colored cap. Do guy really like pink or purple? A gal would but I don't think a guy would. Just a thought and also the silver cap may cause a conversation or two so it will draw and opportunity to share the Gospel. Not saying the colorful wouldn't but if ppl have to think about that they are seeing (the colored one the letters jump out more) then maybe it will be an open door for more souls for the Kingdom. Just a thought.

nuzoegirl,

Thanks for the vote of confidence. This is all still in the concept stage. I have been working on some concept logos for this site for some time, hoping to be able to produce items that can be marketed in order to produce a cash flow. These could include but are not limited to a modified fish-symbol, used as a chrome stick-on emblem or as an embroidered or ironed-on patch for hats, shirts, shorts, sandals, wristbands, towels or bootybags. I am currently working on one more possibility to present the group.

I would LOVE to see a national or international Christian Naturist Association formed (CNA?, NCNA? or ICNA?) that would be able to affiliate resorts and other associations that are pro-Christian, or at a minimum, not anti-Christian.

I think the 3-d logo is particularly nice!

I like the 3-d one too!

And once we decide on a design, we could upload it, and offer it on ball caps, t-shirts etc with a Cafe Press store. I am sure the Villagers here would love to show their support with quality gear like that, sporting a logo like that.

I think what I like about the design is that it is versital in that it can handle the initals CNV, CNA and CNO equally well, and that it is somewhat subliminal. Unless you know the initials are there, you don't really notice them. That makes them excellent tools to spark conversations about Christian naturism.

I'm playing with a new vector-based 3D package to see if I can do a better job on the smoothness and chrome effects as well as to be able to produce some 3D animation.

Excellent point. "Let you light shine before all men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven."

Meetup

Postby eric731 » Sat Nov 10, 2007 4:59 pm

Has anyone used Meetup.com to meet other naturists in your local area? Could that techology help organize the Christian naturism organization?

I tried Meetup.com a few times, but was never able to make connections; the other party didn't show. :(

personal experience

Postby jjsledge » Fri Nov 16, 2007 8:48 am

Earlier this summer the resort where my wife and I are members we had a function and fed all who attended. Several of the members know that we are Christians. I usually like to help out n the kitchen whenever possible. My main job that day was roasted corn in the shucks. The corn was placed in an ice chest to keep warm and early on I noticed that people weren't getting the corn because they need an extra hand so doing what comes natural to me I jumped in and started shucking the corn. One of the members came up to me and said "Now THAT"S preachin' ". They do notice don't they.

Our group has thought about putting our groups name on towels.
