LADIES....????

Postby pixlman » Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:13 pm

Hello Ladies,

My wife would like to know what is in Nudism for her?

She has always been a very private person.

She is happy with my new found freedom and deliverance from addictions as long as it is not forced on the kids. She has even been looking forward to our times together naked around the pool even to the point of attempting to set up times without my knowledge as a surprise.

However, this naked time is not to be forced on the kids. They are not stupid and make wise cracks all the time (mom and dad have no tan lines ha ha). They are slowly becoming more comfortable with the changes around the house. I am sure however they are not yet ready for family skinnydipping even if it is dark.

Anyway, Ladies Speak up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Men, I already know your position..... thanks

I would like to have posted this in the Ladies forum, alas we men are blocked... as we should be.

pixlman, I am still too new at all this myself, so I really don't feel "qualified" to answer your question. Sorry! Hopefully some of the other ladies will come along to help you out, though! ;)

Stillseeking,

Even though you are "new", we would love to hear what is going through your heart and your mind as you go through this "discovery" process.

My beautiful and wonderful wife accepts and enjoys being naked in and around the house together, understands the importance of children seeing their parents naked and the Biblical positions on nudity etc. However, at this point, she draws the line at "social" nudity, still struggling with the idea of someone other than her husband or her doctor seeing her completely naked. I understand her reservations as she has had almost 50 years of indoctrination by church and peers in that mindset and it will take a long time to get past them. (What really changed it for me was having to take care of parents, inlaws and grandparents who were not able to care for themselves).

Unfortunately, she is not at all intersted in the least in participating in forums, naturist or not, probably because of the amount of time our kids spend (waste) on other social networks such as MySpace and Facebook. That is sad because I believe that she has alot to teach and learn from the other men and women here. Perhaps someday.

Still Seeking

Your Thoughts are appreciated and welcome. Please consider my wife is probably right behind you in your discovery.

She just told me today that our 21 year old daughter was razing her about our Naked Mondays. God bless her. My wife took a stand and told her that it was OK because we were spending time together before GOD, Nekkid and unashamed. This was a big step for her and I praise God for the work he is doing. Someday we will be able to together have talks with our children that will hopefully reset their mindsets (that unfortunately we created).

The Lord has told me that He will restore this "lost time" that it is not too late, and that He is at work. Praise His Holy Name. I am truly excited to see the Lord continue to work with my lovely wife and then set my Son free and then be able to teach our daughters how to pick a man who will love them and not just be in lust for them.

Please contribute we will all be the richer for it.

Well, my initial response is: Less laundry!!! So far, my kids (especially the older 3) aren't buying that "argument"!

Well, thank you. I am still in the process of sorting things out, and not sure I can yet acurately articulate what all actually
is going through my heart and mind. And, maybe there is still a sense of shyness about actually sharing, too.

One thing I do know, thanks to John, and some of the studying I have done in the Bible about nudity, has helped me develop a more positive image of myself (both physically and mentally). I mean, yes, I have known all my life that God loves me the way I am, He created me in His image, He loved me so much that He died for my sins....and He forgives me of my sins, etc. But the devil has done his work as well, in filling my head with thoughts of my being worthless, unloveable, and certainly not pretty.

In fact, after the second divorce, I was positive no man would ever be interested in me, because I felt myself to be fat and ugly; and because I have FOUR children (two of them fairly young still); and I have been married and divorced twice. Then God sent John..... :D He is as crazy about kids as I am!!

So, God has been working through John, and through what I have read here, to improve my self acceptance. So, maybe that is one of the biggest positives in "what is in this for me"!

I would like to see all of my children, and especially my daughter, have that same positive view of their bodies as well. And I would like to see that my sons (especially my oldest right now, as I know he is already getting a little involved in pornography :( ) have a healthy and proper view of females, that women are not just sex objects!

I am sure there will be more to share as time goes on, but that is it for now.

I would love to hear from her, even if it is just through personal emails for now!! :)

Stillseeking, I do not know the precise age of your oldest son, but no time is better than the present to sit down and have a face-to-face discussion about our bodies, God's plan for sex and pornography. I would highly recommend that you expose him to "good nudity" through the images of people enjoying simple nudity as displayed in the albums on Naturist-Christians. That way he can distinguish in his mind what is pornographic and offensive in the eyes of the Lord. It REALLY has changed the hearts and minds of a great many men.

He is 17....perhaps about the age, or a little older, than his father was at the time he, himself, was introduced to porn--which grew into an addiction for him.

my two cents

Postby justthinking » Sat Oct 11, 2008 11:00 pm

Well, I am still sorting all of this out, too, but I can tell you a few things that are "in it for her..." and also some things that might become barriers as I have found.

The idea that she might develop a much healthier attitude toward her own body is huge, especially for us women. I know that for me - it became evident right away that my attitude changed about how I felt about myself. It also made a difference in my perception of how my husband viewed me. Even though he treated me wonderfully and told me I was beautiful all the time, I still never felt like I "measured" up. When we changed our view about nudity and what it means, our sexual relationship became so much less about how I looked and so much more about "us." (And I am saying that some of these things were in my mind - no necessarily in how my husband treated me - because I have only wonderful things to say about that). My husband still believes that we are feeding our men lies that cause them to believe that men are so much more "visual." It's almost like they are trained from the day they are born that they are to be sexually aroused by pretty women - and that somehow that needs to be maintained throughout their marriage. We all know that we can't keep up that kind of image!

Some other things that might be in it for your wife is some deeper friendships. I know that we have some pretty close friends now - that we are so close to who also hold this view. When I told a very good friend of mine, I had no idea that she shared some of these ideas. It took our friendship to a much deeper level.

If you have children - it also might open up discussions with them and allow an openness with them that is hard to explain. I know that in our home, we are very open about things regarding the body and we can talk about anything with our children.

On the other side, though, if your wife is like me and has fear issues and a people pleasing personality - it could drive her crazy. For me, dealing with the tragedy of family finding out and having separation issues with us has been heart-breaking to me. It's been almost two years since that has happened, and not a day goes by that I don't miss some of those relationships, esp. with my sister. And then there's the fear in the back of my mind that other's will find out and treat us similarly and that is hard for me.

So - I don't know if this has helped - but I thought I'd chime in and give you some things to think about.

Oh, this is right on the mark! I am fortunate that I was never totally seduced by the "men are visual creatures" lie, yet this has been rubbed into us from the beginning by our mass media that even people who should know better trot it out when the discussion turns that way. But a little self-honesty should show us that most of us men don't want just a well-shaped face and body in our life-companions; we want, if we are honest with ourselves, someone to share our dreams and visions and longings, someone to help us heal, someone we can give ourselves to. For these things, clothing doesn't matter in the slightest; in fact, clothing and underwear and makeup and hairdos tend to hide a woman's true beauty. Why do you think so many men prefer long hair on a woman? It's a sign to us that she's comfortable with herself the way she is. But that's another "strip." (Remember, threads are for textiles! )

I believe you hit it on the head for alot of women regarding fear. Fear of measuring up, fitting in, being accepted, and needing to please. Wow

Great response... I hope more of the ladies have input.

Wont say much here folks but..."Men are visual creatures" is a learned lie.

Naked people arent really that sexy. Sorry but most of us here know that already. What we do know, what Madison Avenue and every Marketing Type knows is that we are really good at: FILLLING IN BLANKS.

When we see each other naked, we are just other people. But cover up strategic areas with lingerie and voila' our dirty lil minds will fill in the blanks with very sexy imagery...and Suddenly Sexy! Some of us have been to resorts at night that turn into sex parties after dark. i know i have. These totally nice, beautiful people, especially the ladies, go and put on some lingerie and strut around the resort and suddenly they look like call girls. The sex factor goes off the charts and then the stupid negative activity begins. Seen it too many times and why i will rarely if ever do an overnight anymore.

Point: Men arent Visual Creatures so much as they are "Fantasy or Fiction Creatures." The old saying about your best sex organ is the one between your ears is dead on the money...

GOD OF THIS CITY-Chris Tomlin

These two songs are very indicative of the church i serve at. "GOD OF THIS CITY" is almost like our informal anthem.

I hope there are places where this does not occur, otherwise I will NEVER visit a naturist resort, even in the daylight.

i visit Rock Haven in Murfreesboro, TN. Love it! Family place, REALLY. Like Paradise Valley and many others too. But, once the sun goes down, the bad element comes out. Would not hesitate to do an overnight @ Rock Haven, have plans in fact. Want to try Cherokee with their on-site church too. But, as with all things, there are some that abuse the privilege of a nudist resort. While at PV, the crowd after dark got very over the top.

During the day, almost all nudist places are covered in great folks. After dinner the day trippers leave and the "over-the-top" crowd comes out. Then and only then do i feel like i am in the wrong place. Maybe if i went with a bunch of folks at the same time? Maybe then i would have things to do after dark that would occupy some time. Rock Haven has that going for them.

nuudman, please clarify if you meant that at EVERY PLACE you visit, the crowd is "bad" at night. And if so, how bad?

If it is just Paradise Valley, I know that place all too well. It is owned by textiles running it to appeal to both traditional nudists by day and the wild party crowd at night.

It's not that I mind Serendipity most nights, it's just too many smokers for my poor sinuses to endure. They have a very small number who drink more than they should, but security stands ready to toss them out if they get rude. With most folks they are just playing cards and smoking at the tables in the lodge. That' s not my thing, but I won't call it "wicked".

Families with kids tend to go home in late afternoon. Kids need their sleep and so do the parents of kids.

As for Cherokee, I haven't been there either, but would you at least give them a chance before shooting them down and saying that they are wild at night?
If they are wild, please tell us after you visit, but it doesn't help us to guess that they are wild.
