Pornification...

This is the continuation of some thoughts from the "Ladies" thread. Basically it is my contention that NAKED/=SEXY and never has to almost all men. We have been manipulated by our own REAL SEX ORGAN, THE HUMAN MIND. When we see a naked female, we see exactly that, A NAKED FEMALE. She may be a Sister in Christ, a Mom, a Child, a Teen, whatever. She is uncovered and to some degree vulnerable. Ladies, the most protective men i have ever met in my life were at some of the family based nudist resorts. We/they scan for pervs 24/7. Anyway, what have the Madison Avenue types dreamed up for our culture now? It might surprise you and just how sick and low they have gone...

These two songs are very indicative of the church i serve at. "GOD OF THIS CITY" is almost like our informal anthem.

Unfortunately, bras, bikinis, thongs and even one-piece bathing suits are more "sexy" than totally nude, even on little children. They tend to sexualize that which isn't sexual.

When I see a young child playing in the nude, I do not think sexual thoughts. I think about the innocence of youth, which innocence hearkens back to the innocence of the Garden before the Fall. Such young children display that trust in their parents that Adam and Eve had in the Lord in that they were "naked and unashamed", and I believe that we all desire to return to that position and attitude.

The purpose of this site and others is to change the hearts, minds and attitudes about what the nude human body represents at ANY age, returning it to it's right position as the "image and likeness of God Himself", "naked and without shame". Our shame is and was NEVER to be in our created bodies, but in our disobedience to our Creator (sin). Until we understand this, then Satan will continue to push to pervert and "pornify" the display of our physical bodies, to encourage us to hide that which God Himself declared to be not only "good", but "VERY GOOD".

Well said. The march goes on toward de-sexualizing the world, at least to some point.
