The Wonders of Modern Technology

Postby Petros » Sat Apr 29, 2017 7:34 am

Yesterday Number 1 Son visited the local constabulary on business. Back in the car, he noticed he did not have his wallet, containing little cash, driver's license, a couple gas cards.

Searched the car - no sign. Reentered the station , looked around where he had been, no sign. He reported it to the people on duty as probably pinched. And to us.
We stated praying. Some hours later, he got a call. A check of surveillance footage showed him leaving, showed his wallet on the chair, showed a person casually approaching and ever so subtly lifting and pocketing said wallet.

They know the person - what sort of individual with a record pinches a wallet inside a police station with cameras everywhere? - and sent a detail after him. They believe he should have his wallet back some time today.

Everyone except probably the perpetrator is pleased.

Hoping Number1 son will soon recover the wallet, and hopefully its full contents as well.

Thank God the wallet was tracked down rather easily! All too often there is no one or no thing to witness such selfish acts. Ain't technology great.
