We shall see

Postby Petros » Fri Mar 30, 2018 8:07 am

Yesterday we viewed a house. The house? We could, we agree, stay on in Number 1 Son's spare apartment, it has worked well and the price is right. But it is cramped, even with half our goods in storage. This place - roomy, solid, well designed and executed. Well situated.

Greatly daring, the group has renewed my contract - I've been without one since September. We have enough for a solid down payment. I am going to start getting us approved for a loan, we should be making an offer - conditional on funding - in a day or so.

This could be the place. Might not be. But things are moving, God is doing strange and powerful things, and your prayers are humbly solicited.

You've got 'em.

And God specializes in the Strange and Powerful.

Yep, you have mine too. We're in a similar state; one house sold & nothing suitable to purchase on the horizon. Still God is good & we're ok just now.

It beats circling around in the wilderness, ready to move to the next campsite at a moment's notice.

Updating. The offer is in - but, so says our realtor, so is someone else's offer. Spent all yesterday getting the loan papers in to the bank.

What does God have in store? We will flow with it.

AND updating. The sellers went with the other offer. We have to see God's hand in it - we were to have been offer one, almost a week before the other, but one thing after another interfered to get us in second. We have now put an offer on a very different place, different pros and cons, and the bank says we should be able to get a loan when needed.

Progress. Two steps forward, one stumbling step back.
